Well I stopped by the neighbours again today, And as i was leaving I had noticed a unusual antenna in the air....
Was my eyes decieving me a Miniture Sigma 4? So i asked him he said he had made it for 2 meter, complete with gamma match to scale... ALso stated it works GREAT.... I tell ya I have a LOT to learn from this guy

But isn't a 3/4 wave coaxial J-pole merely a half wave end fed dipole? What's the point otherwise? Sounds like a bunch of CBer hype and magic.

Avanti Sigma4: An alternative view point

Sir, with all due respect, this thread is a mere half dozen or so posts long, and no more than a photo of a two meter V4k and some of us saying it looked great. Somewhere in all that huge ado I missed the hype you were referring to. And furthermore, the last time I looked (just now), 2 meters is in the Amateur band allocations.

So?
