I had a moonraker4 myself and I will conferm the swr thing,I did however get the swr down below a 1.5:1 at 27.450 mhz at 150 watts through a Siltronix 1011D ( radio had a m2057 driver tube) and run the antenna for over 4 years without any trouble or retuning in southwest Arkansas.Had more than one occasion where the Moonraker went through high thunderstorm winds and ice storms unscathed

I am in no way knocking the M104,I knew a couple of folks that run that antenna and it worked as well as the moonraker.

I would say to go with your personal choice,

I will agree the shooting star is more user friendly.
