I would really appreciate if if you could find a schematic! I have been talking to alan at tubesplus and he doesnt have the full schematic for this unit but has been extremely helpful. I am going to try to lift the one remaining resistor and ohm it to find the value. I cant tell looking at it what the value is and I hope its still good. Its obviously been replaced before though so hopefully the correct one was put in.....

I think I got ya covered!

The resistors are 10 ohm, 1/2 watt. Band colors are as follows, brown, black, black. The ones in my box are silver on the last band but that only indicates the tolerance of the resistor.

I bought one EXACTLY like this a couple months ago from a friend who had no idea what it was... paid 80 bucks for mine and it works flawless. I'm unsure of the brand name, but there's a few things that are noteworthy about this amp.

It has its own built-in 20W dummy load. You'll notice that there's 2-25 ohm, 10 watt power resistors in the back. They are tied parallel.

This box uses a diode-capacitor follower circuit as a voltage multiplier right off the 117V AC line, eliminating any need for a transformer.

I also have reason to believe that it is grid-driven on the tubes. This don't appear to be the standard grounded-grid, cathode driven setup. Driving the tubes through the grids achieves a bit more linearity than grounded grid configurations.

The amp I have works fantastic, looks good on the scope and very little splatter on AM or SSB. Below is a couple pics.

If you need help with parts identification, feel free to drop me a PM. I'd be glad to help you. Cheers!

Two 25-ohm resistors in parallel would be 12.5 ohms. If you put them in SERIES, you'd get 50 ohms, and if the resistors are the ones I think they are in the picture, they do appear to be in series, not parallel.

You are correct, Beetle, I'm sorry. Brain was not functioning.

Anyhow, at least was able to find the resistor values. LOL...

Hey guys I havent been on the site for awhile but managed to figure out the resistor values much harder ways!

I do really appreciate the help though and now that you have confirmed they are 10ohms I feel even better!

I am currently waiting on some tubes to get here sometime next week I hope. I have 2 other tube amps I would like to freshen up but i need to get a tube tester or somebody that has one I can use to check about 30 6lq6!
