On 3/14/2011, the FCC approved the new Elecraft KPA500 500 watt amplifier, which means sales should begin shortly. Here are a few pictures of the outside and inside of the amplifier.

Ive heard rumors of it being $1100USD

That sounds way too low to me. At that price, I would definitely get one!

That's about right. Looks like it covers all the warc and 6m band.
