Default google check out

Paypal can go pound sand

Buyers and sellers, We should try GOOGLE CHECKOUT for purchases on WWDX and see if it works better, ebay will not allow google checkout, most likely because they dont get a cut

terms of payment should be between the seller and buyer, if MO, check, PP, or any other online pay service. Sounds like they could be challenged if they refuse to allow another pay service. How would they do that anyway?

Not sure what the fees are for google checkout...that's the key. I've used it as a buyer only and it's been fine.

I use PayPal all the time as a buyer, but as a seller I know they are getting to usurious levels of fees.

Yes, I miss the days when you just sent a check.

Of course eBay would discourage competition... They OWN PayPal... As a seller, you cannot accept MO's unless the buyer requests paying via same, and you have to agree on that. It is NOT, however, OK to say in your eBay listing to say "I accept MO's".

AND, if that doesn't scald the scrot, you cannot even put that you accept cash, which last time I checked was good for "all debts both public and private." Not that I'd send cash though the mail, but if one of my customers wants to send cash that's OK so long as they know up front I can't be responsible if it is lost in the mailing process....

Arghh!
