Salt Water Dummy Load

But you must use a good swr meter or analyzer to build it.
If you add too much salt you must dump some water out and add fresh.

Learn something new every day. It doesn't get much cheaper than that!

If you decide to buy one, MFJ makes a very broadband 300 watt load for about $40

Yup most any name brand will do and you'll find tons of them cheap on egay but be warned make sure they listed as new so they're not been abused.

Hint on dry dummies is to not put more than 3/4's of the rated power into them as a safety measure so it may benefit a guy to purchase a larger one than really needed.
