A single 5 is pretty weak for that antenna, A triple or Quad would be my choice..

The newer 10ks have the fatter stinger. I have a older one with the smaller stinger and a 55 antenna with the fatter stinger. For use with a mag mount I like the skinny stinger better. Dont get knocked off when you hit things

And something you really don't want to hear, is that a mag-mount just isn't the 'best' way to go if you have a choice. Not having a choice, it'll work.

what's wrong with a wilson 5000? easy to mount and remove, flexible, a lot less than some of the other mentioned ants. and will handle 1K watts

Any hard mount situation is better than a magmount if you have enough counterpoise for the antenna to perform to it's full potential.

And you'll find tuning will be easier.

Put a new exhaust on her, tinted the windows added new shocks...Adding my cb stuff to it now She has a mean lil purr to her.. Had someone offer me about 1/2 more than what i paid for it and still cant let it go... Has a few chips in the paint do to the prev owner who let it sit for over 3 yrs outside and lived out in the country... Im working on the interior to get it how i want but its a work in progress...

I'm surprised no one mentioned the classic 1/4 wave stainless steel whip antenna. Handles gobs of power, superior recieve and transmit. and it will lend the 'radio-controlled Tonka toy' look to it.
Classic...
