The Wilsons work just as well but no better than a 4000, they just cost more.
The only way you will improve is to get a true 1/4 wave whip that has no loading coil, but you can't drive around with one on the car unless you want to buy a triple mag mount or a puck mount or similar, and there is really not much of a difference in performance, maybe 1/2 an S point or less. The 10K's are the same, no improvement in performance, only benefit is you can stick a few KW
's up them if you happen to have a big amp in the car.
If you want to improve the performance of the 4000 then get rid of the mag mount and bolt it to the centre of the roof, making sure you have a good ground connection there (I'm assuming your using a mag mount).
