From what I've been able to find out, that antenna is 7.66 feet long/tall. That's just about a foot shorter than a standard 1/4 wave on the CB band/11 meters. I honestly can't guess if it would withstand an input of 3 or 4 Kw, but I tend to doubt it. I would think that it should perform very close to any other 1/4 wave antenna. How 'close' is another one of those "I have no idea" things. Would it be worth buy another antenna for make that comparison? Not to me, but our pockets are probably of different 'sizes' too. Ruling out the power handling capabilities, if you've got one, use it. If this '4000' antenna is longer than what you are using now by any great degree, 30% maybe, it will probably outperform whatever you have now.
All of that is just a guess. Take it for what it's worth.

Getting an antenna is always a question of budget. I don't see any price comparison in any of these comments. Some great comments - BTW. But - does money talk that much better? A Db or two - maybe? And how much did that xtra Db cost? Was it worth it?

An antenna that receives the best is alsways the best place to start. Sensitivity to weak RF is the better judge on one hand. Then, TX output is another. Then - cost! I STILL didn't see prices up next to all of these antennas for a 'bang vs buck' real-world analysis. Let's see those numbers!

'Best' is a question of RX/TX and materials used qualities vs the money spent.
That is the fairest definition...

LMA!! @ MACK AND GLR!!! Once again you guys are killin me here!!! Too funny!! I should take a few of the several antennas I have and put GODFATHER STICKERS ON THEM AND POST THEM FORSALE WITH GODFATHERS COAX If you see Nuggatron Solarcon or Wilson on any of them just dissreguard or nevermind that it was an error at the godfathers factory.

Mack what do ya think they would go for with the special coax included??

I mean with their mount, coax, and all hardware necessary to get it on the air.
Compare that to the cost of a Wison 1000 mag mount...
I thought so!
At Sparkys CB Shack...

Wilson 1000 Magnet Mount antenna- $70

Predator 10K- $55
Tram Tri-Mag mount w/coax- $40

So...10K+ the mount will run you ruffly $95....

That's a Whole $15 more than the Wilson..or about the price of 5 gallons of gas to go get your Happy Meal...plus, with the Tri-Mag mount, you have the option of using different antenna's, using the same mount!

$15 more? How about $25? But still a better deal and antenna IMO.

my bad...It was late last night, and someone must have re-arranged the keys on my keyboard when I wasn't looking!

OK...$25, that's almost a weeks worth of Happy Meals! Just go to Burger King for a week, and eat on their dollar menu...

JC i'd put the sirio high power 3000 and 4000 up the top of your list. They work very well indeed, and i'd put it against the wilson too..
Sirio 3000 and 4000 are 26-28mhz I use the 3000 and it cracks out!

Is your Sirio a direct mount or magnet?
