Default President washington cB radio

Just picked it up for $25.00
Replacing the meter light since its burnt out, with an led.
Haven't had a chance yet to use it waiting for a mate to bring a 5 pin mic. This one has rx and TX light. 3 push buttons mod, Chan 19(doesn't work) and another button forgot what it was. What pot is the modulation pot? Vr8? And also radio has ssb. Its almost minty. Cheers

That should have the MB8719 chassis in it if it's 3 button.

VR7 controls SSB output, Clip R104 or change R104 to a 100k ohm resistor to open up AM modulation.

The 3 buttons should be Mod/RF, NB/ANL, and Channel 9.

~Cheers~

*Check to see if the clarifier is unlocked and has a lot of khz range/change.

*Look for a switch. Might be one of the panel switches.

*Might need alignment.

ok on AM the clarify must be all the way to the right or im off freq. on ssb its very touchy and slides like 7 channels up and down needs a re alignment. so i figured it out the clarify does this, if im on 20 and need to go to 19A i just put the clarify at 12 o clock, need to go to 19 just all the way to the left.
channel 9 does not work...? and with the NB/ANL pushed in i cant transmit nor do i receive? weird part is inside it does not looked hacked or butchered up.
