Why talkback in a radio without echo? If you want more power, buy a 100 watt amp.

I would send it to a decent radio shop and have them peak and tune it properly. They will have several options for you to choose from. Here are some decent places right off the top of my head in no order.

1) DTB Radio
2) Sparky's cb
3) Custom cb Radio
4) Bob's cb
5) 8541 Electronics

Just do a google search for each and a web page should be there at or near the top.

Unless the receive is off a mod like that is a waste of money. You can search the web and find peak and tune info from several different sites. Talkback is a simple procedure and someone here should be able to give you info on that.

what type of antenna are you using and how is it mounted ?
you antenna system can/will make more difference than any modification .

i agree with psycho about adding a seperate amp for more power rather than modifying the radio for more power .

That is a pretty neat item....take the variable talkback with you from radio to radio.
