Yeah, post 9/11 it's become a lot worse as well. Now we have the incident command and planning 'pie' split into too many uncoordinated pieces.

I was used to a level of order of some years ago and of the level of organization of actual public service agencies.

I don't have the time to fix the problem myself, so it also comes down to my just sucking it up and being quiet. I'd just hoped for some better things. It can only improve though, that's the positive side and it only happens if 'we' put in the effort.

i am still trying to figure out how i can join one of the emergency com groups any help

http://www.races.org/

ARES is arrl.org and they have info also

RACES is part of FEMA or Homeland Security and the .gov is a maze of links, couldn't find a direct info link.
