I was thinking about joining Races/Ares group. I decided it would be important to read the rules before joining.
It appears that the local group is against guns in general.
This seems very odd to me. These are emergency groups? If the S really does hit the fan, having a gun might be a really good idea.
Is this a local thing or a national thing?
Are they actively politically, anti-gun?
BTW, I don't consider myself a radical. I spend most of my time in gov. locations where I could not carry legally. This just rubs me the wrong way. It would be the same as if someone asked me to signing away my right to freedom of speech, or religion or told me how to vote. This just rubs me the wrong way.
