1. $400+ purchase price.
His Money to spend
2. Echo on a radio advertised mostly for supertrucker SSB use. To make it even better there are no external echo controls other than on/off.
The OFF is the best option, but Hey some guys like noise toys
3. RF gain control?
Switchable 40Db pad on the front face
4. Starlight faceplate, pretty but horribly expensive to repair and not that reliable.
Not going to argue with that.
5. Hot. Just runs hot.
Put a fan on the radio.....put a fan on the Amp one or the other.
6. GNF. uh huh.
That`s the way, uh huh uh huh some like it uh huh uh huh
Buy a real radio and a real amp.
Not saying that it is not a real radio, that is what you or I would do, but hey, I refer back to number one, some guys just do not want an external amp.......They might figure that a all in one radio is a bit easier than a radio and an amp and the power cables and the coax and the shop foreman giving him grief about alllllll that in "His " new company Peterbuilt.
some places say NO AMPS.
Might get away with a all in one radio.
NASA/SOHO When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
but I have become comfortably numb.
