| | I'm with Beetle on this one. There is no WAE, or Worked All Entities award and never has been. Unless you have a super DX station you don't have to worry about it anyway. DX entities come and go all the time.

| | Actually, there IS a "WAE" award, but it's "Worked All Europe". It's sponsored by DARC. http://www.darc.de/referate/dx/archives/dxawrule.pdf
Don't lose any sleep over P5.

| | Yeah, I thought about the WAE being the Worked All Europe award so that is why I said Worked All Entities. If one did attempt to work all entities does that mean one could have a QSO with the after life? I mean spirits are enitiies are they not?

He thinks he is being deprived an award because he can't work all DX entities because some countries do not allow amateur radio like North Korea while some others are nothing more than an unpopulated pile of rocks in the ocean. I guess that makes him just like the rest of us then.

| | But didn't I read that the award he is seeking does not exist or does not have the requirements he thinks it has?
As beetle linked, The awards of the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC) WAE, EU-DX and EUROPE-AWARD are issued by the DARC Committee for DX and HF-Contesting.
So dxhound should direct his comment to the DARC, not ARRL, but the entities he complained that do not allow transmission are not even listed in the DARC WAEs.
It's a ficticious award, but for those few that have it, let them go for WAH... |
