To anyone's knowledge, has anyone anywhere ever been busted for talking more than 150 miles / 250 km on a CB?

I'm not asking for hypotheticals here, or about using the range limit for a "pile it on charge" for a guy who's already breaking other laws. I'm asking if the FCC ever goes (or has gone after) some guy who's harmlessly working a little skip. Or is this something like a jaywalking law that hasn't been enforced in decades?

From what I read, it is a low priority, and always has been.
Just like cops do, FCC inspectors use a lesser charge as probable cause to get a search warrant, looking for anything illegal. But, the only person I know that got a visit for shooting skip, was a guy running illeagal power. He was contacting the same person in Aculpoco on a regular basis, in the DC area.

Don't jaywalk in Columbus, Ohio. I got ticketed for it once.

I think it's implied when they send you the letter.

web site,they have a bunch of them there...Its the cause for a inspection.And they get the Fed Marshals most of the time to visit you.Thats what they did by me in 1999.The guy was talking to someone in Fla.Later,the popped a guy down the road for talking on 27.445lsb They are out there,they one of theses days get John Denver on ch 28 and i would love to see his fine,hehe...73 de JW
