It's your usb-serial adapter driver causing it. Do you know how to look for an update?

I bought the cable from china on eBay for $8.99 with free shipping. It came with a mini disk that has the driver , HRD, and a few other programs. The only item I installed was the driver. I will remove it. Should I let windows find the driver?

Right click on "My Computer", hit "manage" and then go down to the drivers section. Look for the serial port that HRD is using and look at the driver name and version. Chances are good that you can just hit the update driver button and let windows see if there is a new one.

Yea, I tried that a few days ago and it didn't do any good. I uninstalled both drivers and windows found the right ones via: the net. So far so good no blue screens no problems! Thanks everyone.

Did you plug the USB device in the computer before or after installing the driver? XP and Vista likes the driver before detecting the device.

U have access to another computer to try everything out?

Ahahahhahha omg that picture is too damn funny ! Hrd is working like a charm lil bit laggy but for free ware cant complain.
