Talking 20 Meters is Hot Today


HZ0NAR beaming over the North Pole from East Hungary.

Laci aka. Dr.Laszlo Radocz a big contester gave me a 5 by 7 as I got in between all
the big guns..

Kenwood ts50 and OCF at 35ft who says a wire want reach out and touch someone.

Thanks Doc, cant wait to get mobil with this thing and the AT.

Are you sure of the call sign? The HZ prefix is assigned to Saudi Arabia. Hungary is HA and HG.

Correct. It looks like the callsign is HA0NAR. Having never worked HZ it never occured to me HZ was Saudi Arabia.

I have Saudi Arabia on 40 thru 10, but I've never worked Hz. Too low a frequency. I usually work several MHz.

I didn't try crosschecking the call sign, but it occurred to me that it might be HGØ, since "gee" and "zee" sort of rhyme if you're not using phonetics...which gets us back to "why is QRZee pronounced QRZed?"
