radio works other than no output.

I have power to both driver and final, mrf477 tests good, 2sc2166 tests bad.

im having a hard time finding a 2sc2166 replacement, any other parts fit?

or does some one have a stash of 2sc2166 's some where?

thanks in advance!

Hi ozark

Google search found them for sale all over the place.

Also ERF 2030 is a replacement likewise readily available.

Good luck bro

The EF 2030 will work - only after modifying the baord. One is a MOSFET; and the other is a bipolar device. As WW said, you can find the 2SC2166's on the internet. I bought some from an eBay store. You get what you pay for...

Mitsubishi finished production 2sc2166 2sc1969 2sc2312 etc.
So we need to watch our finals from now on. But they are still able to find.Maybe hard but possible.

where is pump houses equipment

I find it funny how freecell can answer this post but cant answer the post from pump house wanting the stuff he paid freecell for a LONG time ago and never got?

Thanks fred.

The entire WWRF board is on to him.

His time will come real soon.

Sorry for the thread jack.

Carry on

I have a Royce 619 that has a bad 2sc2166. No reading on my multimeter. I have very low rx and no tx, just the rx/tx light changes and that is it. i have too turn the volume all the way up to hear anything and when I key a radio close by, the meter barely moves.

President HR2510 not receiving on AM and FM

Greetings all,
I have a President HR2510 which is not receiving on AM and FM band.
It receives and transmit on Upper and Lower side band no problem.
any one have any ideas what what could be causing this issue?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Best regard.

sounds like 2sc2166 is knackered and possibly the audio ic too, possibly due to reverse polarity, but before you replace them try realigning the radio as it may be the tuning transformers have been twiddled.

does it tx on am/fm?

i'd be checking q102 the rx mixer for the proper voltages on am/fm rx,after that and the following bandpass filter am/ssb take the same route and fm takes a different path to the af amp so if the fault was after that it would most likely knock am/ssb rx out or fm only rx out not am/fm rx.

i must admit though i ain't that familiar with the hr2510,i've never been that daft on the lincoln/hr2510/hr2600 style radios and there will be others can give you better info.although they work well i ain't too fond of radios with lcd displays that cost a fortune to replace.

I was looking at the schematic for the radio and it is possible that the mode switch is bad, there are other components that could have failed but the mode switch is something that gets used lots. I do have an extra if that would help although it is a bit of a twist to replace it! :headbang:headbang
