I am in the market for an I-Max 2000 antenna, who's got the best price for a new one? I thought I found an AD for one that said $80 shipped but I can't find it again.

I see your point about ground elements BM, I am tight on space, and the reveiws are good on this antenna.

If you're under 500 watts, do yourself a favor and invest a few more dollars to purchase the Gain-Master from H&Y Electronics. The signal increase over the Imax is well worth the extra $45 and the appearance is very similar with no radials.

I would agree with SW even though I've not seen any reports comparing the Imax vs. SGM. But, to answer both BM and SW, maybe T23 wants the simplicity of the Imax. The only thing so simple and that really works well like the Imax is the A99 in my opinion. Under those circumstances I would not hesitate on the Solarcons.

My A99 works better than my Imax.

I may get it up to compare to my Gain Master and then I'll have more to say no mater how that turns out.

Great, thanks for the opinions, now I have some options, I'll look into these...

i thought i was the only one that has a A99 that works better then an Imax. whats up with that Marconi i know you must have an explination with all the antenna testing you do. mine are 20' apart both have the feed point at the same height 38' both have 96' of belden 213 coax. i don't live in a valley i'm in a flat area so angle of radiation out of a hole don't count here. but in all directions ground wave the A99 out shots the Imax. also swr's on both on testing frequency 1.1 on ch. 35 testing on AM & 1.1 on ch.51 testing on Lsb. i thought maybe i had a faulty Imax. i think i'm gonna try the Gain Master i never run more then 300 watts and thats rare i talk 99.5% ssb so 300 watts is more then what i need to talk world wide.
