Has anyone tried this?, thinking of one for my DX949. Not looking for mega watts just a little more than stock.

For less money you could get the same or more watts with a KL-203 amplifier. They run about 64 dollars. The RFX-175 is about 125 bucks plus install fees.

You know, that little spacer thingy that goes in between the coax and the antenna that makes the antenna longer. :D

(Some of them even hook up to 12VDC to keep the antenna warm in Winter so it won't ice over)

Dang...What will they think of next!(y)

Around here, we use them to keep the rain from getting into the antenna...Helps dry them out...Mine worked so good this past summer that it didn't rain on my antenna all summer long!:D

Never heard of the RFX-175 either.
however, I have heard of the SX-175 power cabinet.
Is that what you mean?
It uses four ERF-2030 MOSFET's.

They have a new one coming out since the last time I talked to Sam Lewis a year ago, Uses four ERF-7530 MOSFET's and does 300 watts.

Right!

I stupidly tried the RFX75 mod on a 148GTL:headbang.......and I'm an I'm an old retired tech with an avid curiousity over new gadits.
