Well, that's one we won't be seeing (legally) in the USA. Not if those TX frequencies in the picture are accurate. While it's difficult to make out I believe it's showing TX coverage in the 11m band.
If you look at the image you posted you will see TX 27.000 to 32.000. The production one will be 28.00 to 29.700.

I don't believe it will be in the 11 meter band as it''s an FM radio.... at least as far as I know it has no AM, or SSB on it...
I bet it transmits on AM. I missed the 27mhz on the specs haha....sorta weird IMO.

Not if those emission types in the specs are correct. Looks like FM phone and FM data only.
I would have been surprised to see any AM TX capability, though I've seen rumors that it will have AM RX in the aircraft band (like many other rigs). Even so, unless those TX frequencies are wrong, and they probably are, considering I've seen more recent pictures and specs elsewhere, any transmit capability on 11m would have put it under Part 95.
I know that this wont matter to alot of people around here, as most people have no need for this, but what i want is for this radio to be able to TX/RX regular VHF Low public safety/business frequencies. We use alot of lowband stuff around here, in addition to regular VHF and being that it will probably be part 90 type accepted when it comes out, if you could use it to transmit on 46 mhz, it would be extremely usefull as i could combine my VHF low, VHF, and UHF radios into one single unit.
Now all it needs is MDC1200, even though i know that that will probably never happen, although if it did, i would be willing to pay a pretty decent amount for a radio that would cover all 3 bands and do MDC 1200.

I was talking about a mobile, not a portable, and i im not really interested in how you can do it with the Kenwoods and some other radios, with 2 bodys and one control head. Also, i mainly am looking for a cheaper way out, as i would like to keep it relatively cheap.
Although i would consider some of those alternatives if anyone has some availible cheaply... :tongue:
But back on topic, if the manufacturers are looking for suggestions or to know some things that the consumer is interested in, those are some features that i and many others would appreciate
