When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
but I have become comfortably numb.

my guess is these are radios either in use by active military units or reservists. If you di find one of these in the good condition that the two radios appear to be in would likely make the cost of a regular ham radio look cheap. The are spook quality radios use by groups with alphabet type names.

anything named "Clansman" albeit being spelled with a "C" gives me the willies.

I remember seeing some guy in Israel that sells old surplus radio gear from different countries on Ebay. Some (most) of that stuff is way cool. You guys in California probably remember the Lady (silent key) that had that old army truck with mil rigs in it. I enjoy her youtube videos. She was world renowned for her knowledge on those rigs. She had a great CW fist also.

her call escapes me at the moment.
