I saw your cigarette lighter mount you did for your 706 in your picture album. That is brilliant! Did you come up with that idea on your own or did you steal it? Does it move around or work it's way out of there on a bumby road?

Nope, didn't steal it. I kept looking at that blank that had the cigarette lighter and really considered pulling the center console out and removing the blank and installing something in its place. Simplicity sparked the use of the old cell phone charger. That charger had some good spring loaded side friction pads on it. No, it doesn't work its way out on bumpy roads.

Looks good! I thought about doing the same thing when I was looking over what I wanted to do. I also wanted to be able to remove the head to store it else where from prying eyes who might zero in on my PU with the large antenna. That at any rate is part of the plan.

I can still pop it loose the regular way, not as easy as yours.

One good thing is, the shifter hides it in park.
