Wow, looks cool, but too bad maxes out at 1kW. Anyone get one of these yet to review? I would jump on it if it had 2kW or more capacity, but instead I just keep staring at the pictures and thinking of a way to modify it to a 2kW meter.

By the way, I think its made by Dosy, can someone please confirm?

Ok, a lot of you read this post and I see that 5 people took the plunge and ordered one off the bay. Please let us know how is the meter in terms of meter face quality, mechanical quality of the knobs and it its easy to adjust, I'm thinking of getting one too. Price is still steep though especially given that I already have two Dosys.

I saw them on ebay as well. To me it looks like a re-branded Dosy. The blacklight meters are kind of cool but I generally don't operate in the dark.

Redman has some cool stuff but he sure is proud of it.

Too much stuff to list here. But it's all vintage and it all works perfectly.

Only 4 left, I can't believe no one is waiting for review before taking plunge. Need to know if meter can be recalibrated to handle 2 kilowatt full scale?

just flip the switch to RMS and you will be ok

I wish it had an RMS setting, unfortunately it doesn't. It does have a an off setting so perhaps can turn off when modulating, but then I need to know how much the meter can handle pass through with wattmeter turned off. I never owned a Dosy triple meter and all those TC3001 models are 1kW max reading. Kinda dissapointing, especially given that others have 5kW reading meters available although the quality has gotten so cheap with poorly printed meter faces and imported meter movements that the PDC/Astatic and Workman models have. If Redman got the manufacturer to make at least a 2kW model with triple meters, made in U.S. monitor jack, RMS and Peak, etc for about the same price or a little more, I think it would sell faster. I'd take two of them!

i had a pdc 6000 it says 5000 watts
well it didnt like 2500 and the magic smoke was released

Buy a meter that was designed to read 2000 watts peak.
