Hey glnelso,

I'm a big fan of the Hustler antennas. They are heavy duty and broad banded. I don't know of any discounters out there. I got a similar one for 460-470mhx a few years ago from Ham Radio Outlet. They had to order it for me and it was around $200. So you might be looking at around that much for a VHF-Commercial too. Just not sure. Call your nearest HRO and ask for a quote. I've had several of their G6-144-B's for 2 meter ham use. Awesome antenna.

I got mine on ebay. Was not even in the market for one but when I seen it I knew I could not pass it up. Buy it now price was $140 on it. Brand new in the box.

Only other antenna I would have would be a Celwave station master but finding one used is not easy or at least around here. New forget about! You could buy quite a few hustlers for that!

Default ANTENNA

Go to H&Y electronics, they have the tram/browning antenna, that is what I have, works great, there is a guy who sells yagi beams/GROUND PLANES on the net, if you dont want to spend a lot of money, I will hunt it up for you.
That is what I use MURS for talk home in a 40 mile area...

I'm kinda partial to the one at DPD products, since it is completely sealed up in the tube an built on the same platform as their train, an govt. antennas. Besides, it'll be up pretty high an don't wanna hafta fool with it for a long time.

I'm using a 2 meter Yaesu FT2800 that I modded that can tx an rx on murs up to 65 watts.....
