Default Blue display too bright..

I have a Cobra 29 NHST. I upgraded to UV LED's and a blue display. The display is way too bright on the dim setting. How do I dim it down into the realm of reason?? Is there a resistor I can change?

Put a 50K ohm pot in series with one of the lamps. Adjust it to where you like it to be. Take the pot out and check the resistance in the pot where you liked it with a VOM. Substitute suitable resistor for the value found on the pot/VOM meter.
