Checked #5, and ARTS beep was 'in range', but here in the boonies, there aren't any ARTS enabled radios. Turned it off. Will see if the beep goes away! Thanks, Tim

I've noticed that while receiving (no signals received), that the VX8 will send out a beep... actually, I think it's a pair of beeps. Is this a battery low indication? I've looked through the book, but can't find any reference to it. I haven't noted the time between when it does it...
