    Lightning Antennas????

I have the Signal Engineering Lighting 4+ and it works great. The dual polarity is awsome. Most people have a hard time understanding Voltage fed quads. I've never dealt with Lightning antenna but they seem to be the real deal.

    Moonraker 4 vs. 6

If you look at just the gain of the antenna the 4 element is the best bang for the buck. it may not have the gain of the 6 but if look at weight, wind load and size the 4 elemnet gets my vote. I can not justfy twice the size for about 2 db worth of forward gain just my 2 cents

    CUBEX ANTENNAS

I"ve heard good things about Cubex their beam is built like a tank. It can only operate single polarity vert or horz. I've never tried one but it looks the beam is built to last. I also heard they have good customer service. My next beam will probally be a Cubex fed with SE feed system I...

    Signal Engineering antennas

No problem, the first thing I would do is to verify your elements are the proper length. Call SE talk to Tony tell him you think your elements may have streched by a bird and you need to know the element lengths for your antenna. Once you have the proper element lengths I would re-stretch all...

    Signal Engineering antennas

se quad Which feedpoint are you having trouble matching the verticle or the horz it's probally the verticle. if it is both then I would suspect that your drive element has been stretched. I know SE says they prestetch the wires but they don't do a very good jod of it. I re-stretch all of my...

whew... Imax 2000 Up 150'... Smokin'!!

best height Studies have shown. the best height to work national contacts has been 1 1/2 wave lengths about 54 feet for cb band. but for international work 70+ feet works at 150' you might loose a little national DX. Just my 2 cents

    4 Element Yagi style antenna's

Jo-gunn I'm really upset with Jo-Gunn with their maketing tactics. I'm a firm firm believer. If you put enough fire into a piece of 2x4 piece of lumber it will probally talk too.

    Signal Engineering antennas

se quad I don't understand. My drive element on a lighting 4+ is 36'6" how can you say its a mini quad. the feed system is like a quarter wave tuning stub. SE quad could use a balun but you have to lose the dual polarity. that is why they have a patent on the feed system. SE quad IMO is not a...
