Hi guys, I've not been on this forum for a while, no excuse lol. I just spent quite some time reading all the replies from you guys and sat here giggling. I cant remember where i found that info, on the web somewhere. Someone said it's still floating around out there.. It does make you laugh at...
Shame that there illegal in the USA and maybe Canada too. They are fab little units though and at a very good price for what they do. When you cut all 3 links you get more channels and voice scrambler too. Great for use in the UK and other places maybe.. You can also convert them for proper...
Hi fellers, over here in the UK we call them Professional Mobile Radio (also known as Private Mobile Radio (PMR)
I bought two intek mt 5050's. I have to say i'm very pleased with then too. You can only use 500mw over here but with a little bit of tweeking...
Heres what it says on the site i...
Well i have run two radio's mobile and i can't fault either and thats the Magnum S9 with a astatic road devil and a Lincoln chipswitch with a teardrop both are fab radio's for mobile use. I use a Ranger 2995dx for homebase with a astatic echomax 2000 and a intercepter 10K
rci 2995dx
I use this base rig in north London in the UK and have the 10 11 12 mtrs. It's a superb radio with top notch rx/tx and with my echomax 2000 mic the audio is also superb. I run it through a interceptor 10K on a tower and shake London when i transmit.
echomax 2000
I also have that mic and i can confirm it has a multi-tone roger beep that can be turned off if required or reduced to a single tone.
look here Astatic Echomax 2000 :: Transmission1 :: Radio Resources for PMR 446, Scanning, Broadcast, Amateur and CB Radio
I have many rigs and ham sets. I use a Ranger 2995dx and it's just fantastic on 10-11-12 mtrs. I'd say better than my chipswitched Lincoln
With my interceptor 10K and my astatic echomax mic it's really does the business on CB bands. No trouble with white noise at all...
Ranger RCI-2995DX...
I have the Interceptor 10K and i think it's just an ACE antenna it blows away the Imax2000 that i had for 12 years. The I-10K also stands up to the high winds in the UK..
So it's the Interceptor that get's my vote.. I'm the only one in the UK south that has one so far, so it's also nice to be...
Isn't the 827 also know as the SIRIO BLIZZARD in the german market?
Truck king sell it and say its stronger than the normal 827, true? i've no idea!
The add says..
LIMITED EDITION OF THE TOP PERFORMING SIRIO 827 MADE FOR THE GERMAN MARKET - THE BLIZZARD INCLUDES A STATIC DISPERSAL TOP HAT...
Jc many people i know have the new Sirio Performer 5000 and say it's not as good as the older sirio 4000. If it was me i'd also go for the 4000. The Sirio Performer 5000 doesn't have the bandwidth of the 4000 either, and you know most of us use most modes and from at least 26mhz to just under...
I've had my Sirio 300 for about ten years and it out performs any other mobile twig i've tried. It's the biz of an antenna.
At knights- electron they say.
The Sirio 4000 is A high quality 7/8 wave mobile antenna.
A larger version of the Hypower 3000, this one features a 2m long whip...
My Sirio 3000 is on a 7" magmount i know it would perform better if i drilled the roof and mounted that way. The thing is i don't want to damage the van roof as it's a fairly new van. The Sirio 3000 is the best mobile antenna i've ever used, i swear by them. The bandwidth is good too at...
I agree the Astatic Minuteman II D-104 is a super mobile fist mic, i love them. Great for SSB work. I might put a .01 mf capacitor on the mic to tame it a bit. Any thoughts guys?
JC i'd put the sirio high power 3000 and 4000 up the top of your list. They work very well indeed, and i'd put it against the wilson too..
Sirio 3000 and 4000 are 26-28mhz I use the 3000 and it cracks out!

Hello jazzsinger. I know a few people that have bought the superstar 3900 eft from rocket radio i think it's the one with built in Frequency Counter that was the one i'm referring too, and they took them back for reasons i'm not sure about, but they just said its pants.
I said my Cobra 148 gtl...
