    Johnson Microphone

    Several years ago I picked up a E.F. Johnson PTT microphone (no CB attached) that has a telephone keypad on it. It is part No. 250-0751-002 and Model No. 650. It is a semi-circular 5 pin connection. Anyone know which rig it goes too? Is it for a tone control radio. Thanks for any info.

    What would a period correct cb from 1970-1975 era?

    Right Radio Johnson Messenger III. Or if you can find one, one of the GM labeled Cb's. I have several Ford labeled CB's. One is a six channel made by Lafayette, the other two are made by Motorola. The Messenger III is a 12 channel.

    Question for the older CB'ers here

    23 Channel The FCC ruled in 1975 when they decided to allow the additional channels, that no 23 channel CB could be sold after Dec. 31, 1976, but no 40 channel's could be sold before Jan 1, 1977. That did not make the 23 channel's illegal, just outdated. You won't find many 23 channels made...
