Some crack headed decided they wanted to break in my truck and steal my cb. Luckily they didn't break anything and didn't get the fatboy hiding in the back. Just wanted to vent. I know my luck and skip has probably been rolling good. About three more days and i will have the new radio in hand...
well here is the thing, its a totally different box tham what I was using. Of course all i run is fatboy. Since the post I made some adjustments with my ground wire and am now getting the 800-900 watts I knew the box can do. I appreciate all the help.
made quite a few good contacts tonight. Talked a little in texas, mississipi, and georgia. i need to get a notebook to start recording all my contacts. I would post some 28's but I talked to so many I can't remember them all. Sorry. Black judge was one, 127, bad attitude were a few that i could...
Looking to sell or trade my fatboy 1x4. I am wanting to get a high power radio to eliminate the strain on my vehicles charging system. I either would like to trade for a good high power radio or sell out right for 350. It is less than a year old and works perfect. I have no complaints about this...
The meter is a brand new dosy. So I hope that's not it. I will post pis as soon as I can find time to unhook it and open the case. I am putting a one watt deadkey and swing up to 20 watts. This is the third fatboy I have ran and have gotten pretty close to 900 watts out of them. I have always...
I am trying to find a way to get the max out of my box. On the dosy meter it shows peak at 500 watts. I was told it should do more but have to put more than the voltage of a standard vehicle voltage into it. Is the motormaul the only way to do that? I am running a 150 amp alternator with it now...
Actually can't explain it. All I know is it was raining like crazy, the wind blowing and a few lightning strikes and some thunder. It was weird because usually those are the crappiest days for me but it seemed to be a good day that day. Weather was worse on the western side of kentucky and in...
yeah I tagged him a couple of times. Actually talked to tin man as well. I think I may of heard you in there as well. Today was a good day too. Made contact with lost cause in the north west corner. Tried to get some Cali but its hard for me and my little bitty mobile.
Made several good contacts around the great lakes today. Bumped it down with radio doctor, and 447 several times. I also made contact with 440 in minnesota. Storms rolling through the bluegrass gave me some good conditions today.
Ok I will leave it as it is. I am having another issue and that is squeling from the radio but it does it when I turn my box on. I am using an echo mic but when I hook any other mic it works fine. I know this section is for antennas but I figured I would ask anyways. Any suggestions?
