"How to sound like a LID"

jump into a ongoing qso at a round table to call someone that is not talking at all and discuss something totally nonrelavant like selling baseball card and get ignorant when the round table tried to resume. that is my personal favorite

    QuestionS About CB's and Hams

well even if ya choose to run the equipment on 10 meter, keeping the alc limiter in your radio will help alot as well as keeping drive down. just something to keep in mind when judging clean, if you are being heard with anywhere close to a 10khz signal on 75m look out everyone up and down the...

Inexpensive antenna for 10 to 180 meters

i agree wire is the way to go. cut wire resonant to the 160m band buy a good tuner and then run legal limit. the wire here is cut for 75, it will grab 160 but it is a stretch for the tuner and i limit it to 400 watts out. but 400 watts out gave me a 20 over signal report into ohio so not that...

    coax or ladder line

well myself i am getting to prefer ladderline. i can put up 1 wire cut for the lowest frequency i want to operate <75> and the use a tuner to catch every band above that with gain. it might have a little bit strange pattern but it seems to work. if you feed the same wire with coax, well a wire...

    383 bad experience

the deiseling does sound like a timing issue. another common problem that some of these have is when they set the distributor they put number 1 up on the exhaust stroke. now the motor can run with the dist cranked with 180 out. this will also give it the low power that you are issuing. if the...

    Limited space & Inverted V's

i usually use a inverted v cut for the lowest frequency ya would like to work feed it with ladderline and use a tuner on it. mine is cut for 75m with a length of roughly 120 feet. i use this antenna for usually 80 and 40, but it does tune well above those bands, but gets a little bit of a funky...
