"In a nutshell" how difficult or involved was the mod you did to the d-104??? This is the first I've heard of this mod and it sounds interesting. I will Google for the exact particulars and proceed if it's not too very involved for a junior neophyte golden screwdriver. :wink:

I watched that video but the performance of the stinger board looks kind of lame or is it just me???

Sometimes a mag mount antenna mounted on a kitchen sink/metal countertop or stove or even a refrigerator will work well in an indoor setting. Good luck and get him on the air!:thumbup1:

I talked to Alabama and South Carolina from south Chicagoland, Illinois a few weeks ago on channel 22 around 11:00-11:15 pm CST. I was walking tall in a barefoot mobile with a tuned up Cobra 25 with an old 4 foot Hustler mag mount antenna. They said I was blowing smoke up that way but then again...

That Browning Brownie looks suspiciously like an old Boman CB-720 23 channel radio I have. That Boman is supposed to be identical internally to the old Tram XL mini 23 channel. hmmmm...

Any long-term updates on the Sirio Tornado? Are they holding up and working well out there? I believe there has been some sort of upgrade to this antenna (?) by the manufacturer recently.
