Have an amp with the driver pill blown. Its a 1 2290 driving 2 2879s wonder if the pill would be hard to replace and if it would be possible to replace the 2290 with a 2879. I know how to solder how much trouble it is to replace. Thanks in advance rusty sorry for the dumb...

i am running a 4 foot firestick antenna on my truck and am trying to decide which amp to run just wondering how many watts the firestick should handle looking at a texas star 500v or a xforce tnt 350hd thanks in advance rusty

at 5 to 6 watts dead key it does run up to somewhere in the 100 to 125 watts its strong enough to turn on all the touch lamps in the house and it is in my truck

i have galaxy 979 with 75 watt mosfet up grade which amp would work with this radio i have been through 2 i am told it will take at least a texas star 500v because of the drive anybody anything else that would work

11 meter swr 2:1 mostly run on channel 19 2.5:1 with amp on

swr still a bit high i read somewhere that putting a choke in the last 4 feet of the coax would lower it some more the coax is a little long could shortening to 12 feet also help it's long enough to get into the truck any hrlp would be nice thanks peacemaker

swr had the same problem more or less with a wilson on my 06 dakota it acted like the antenna wasn't getting a ground to the cab ran a ground and the problem went away no more magnet mounts for me went to a whip

recieved my new radio a galaxy dx979 with the rf75 upgrade done by screwdriver it really kicks some a** really enjoy be able to be heard and the radio recieves far better than the uniden now in the market for a new antenna need one that better than my wilson any suggestions won't be magnetic...

any body use galaxy radios thinking about getting a dx 979 because of space will have the 75 upgrade from bells any comments
