don't belive so but all is working from 25.6 to 27.9 and is retained after removing power. just won't program above 27.9. it shows all 10 meter frequencies with 2 and 4 jumped(program mode) but once returning to 1 and 4 jumped(export mode)no 10 meter.

monkeyed some and it seems it won't operate at all in 10 meter mode. all bands and frequencies are 27.90 guess its shit the bed on me.

i have had it since they first came out. i'm sure the warranty is expired. anyhow i just tried reprogramming it and all the letters went into the band selector and frequenies work until power is removed then right back to 27.90 being the highest it will go.

i never programed it to start with. just set jumpers at 1 and 4 as stated above. i thought the programing was only to change the frequency positioning? anyhow i'll try it. thanks.

my s-9 seems to have lost some of it frequencies. i have checked that the jumpers for export bands are in place correctly and they are. thought tat was the problem but it wasn't. it goes up to about 27.905 then the last three or four settings on the band selector are all the same frequncy...

what is it you guys didn't like about the s-9? i have one in my ford 150 and i find it to be a solid radio. mostly use lsb and its getting about 60 watts and very clean audio with a shure non- amplified mic on it. its not a cpu radio but for a cb trucker type i think its one of the best all...

with a good tune what kind of power should you see from a 2970dx?

just picked up a nonworking sbe land command ssb base. this radio appears to have the same board as a cobra 142. the radio is not working and when i was looking it over i noticed that it has a 11.325 crystal near the pll. shouldn't this be a 11.1125? i know to channel a 142 you change to a...

yeah i got it centered out pretty well on 27.465 i see am swing about 45 and ssb around 60 and it does have some modulation toooooooo :D

just bought me a new s9 to play with. whats everybody seeing for power on these? i run mostly ssb and it seems the power is centered around the cb band more than 27.4650 where i talk.

got back out in the truck this weekend to play with my setup abit more. seems that as the radio amp warms up and is used to talk alot the deadkey drops from about 32watts down to 25 or so. would this be normal as a radio warms up? upon cooling the radio its back up to 30 or so.

dtb it worked fine in the house this problem has started in the truck. i'm thinking my antenna system maybe the under lying cause. my swr isn't stable either. seems to have risen abit since my install. i'll let everyone know if i find thats the cause.

i also think its a great radio just need to pinpoint the cause of the deadkey changing.
