This may be a longshot, check the preselect on just the recieve only...if it comes up, but d/k watts fall....then mabye one (or two) of the slugs on the "gang" tuning has been disturbed. You can often tell by the location of the factory seal or glue (on the springs) where they originally were...
Tony, sorry I didn't know until now...as I haven't been on here as much. I wish you well and remember, God can...... and dose work miracles. You show good character and a person of a kind heart.....I'm sure God sees that as well. 73s, Ray aka Pluto.
I hope the SOBs fry for what they have done, (I won't type the words I really mean out of respect for the other members). Also.....revs Al and Jessie = trouble makers who stir things up to get in the public spotlight, and (try) to gain fame by exploiting the "race card".
......I had to comment on this post due to the fact that I laughed my a$$ off when I read it, (my step son has cerebral palsy) and I thank you for calling him on that
..........I've got one of those that I got ~20 years ago. It still works great, only had to clean the slide controll a couple of times. Mine has: D&J Electronics Addison,IL 60101, below the on/off switch as well as a picture of Tweety talking into what looks like a D-104 mic. Just curious if...
For quite some time, I thought my Pluto was a Galaxy until I went to the Galaxy website and learned otherwise. I often wondered how another manufacturer got away with that. Thanks to this thread, now I know.
I agree with QRN and mopar2ya, switch the audio out. I was reading the paper in the pic you provided....YELLOW - NOTHING, that's weird......why is it there? I personally would not (never) use a rocker switch like that.....especially on a 148. A SPST switch is all you need, or an existing switch...
Please don't take offense to this, but did you make sure you didn't put the reg IC in backwards? It does happen and is an easy mistake when tired and/or distracted. Also mabye check for something heating up (ouch hot) like diodes or resistors, ect. Also double check your solders for accidental...
.......I repaired a Pyramid 36(35 actual) amp not too long ago, which took the 2N3771 transistors, the SCR (cracked and crispy) and replaced the reg IC. The dude blew a fuse trying to run too big of a amplifier......didn't have an extra, so out comes the aluminim foil.....soon to be followed by...
cool.....but to be on the safe side, I'd replace the voltage regulator as well. Like I said when the 3055s go they take the reg with it. Look for an IC chip that has xx723, I buy a socket and solder it in first (after the old chip is removed of coarse) then you don't have to worry about too much...
