Yep. (y) Have done that. Increased bandwidth and efficiency. Just don’t have one right now. :giggle: I do have a 66” steel whip and a Buddistick 10-40 meter coil I’m thinking about switching to. As well as moving to a different part of yard where it will be more in the open. Both should help...

Fantastic QSO with Unit 399 in Columbia on 40 LSB. JJ sounded like a local here in Texas he was so loud. Conditions weren’t as good, but I also had a nice QSO with WDX-231 earlier. My two favorite contacts of the day. :giggle:

Oh yeah. Saw them on the back bumper plenty. Just never saw one on the front.

Love mine! With an inexpensive ProComm power mic, the audio is outstanding (so I’m told) on both AM and SSB. Guess they got all the problems ironed out before this one came came off the assembly line.

Bobby, Like any other radio, some are going to like it, some not. And the usual suspects will belittle it despite not owning one or ever having operated one. Just ignore them. Personally, I like the look and what it has to offer. It’s somewhat expensive, but what isn’t these days?

Any detailed sketches or notes you can share that show all of the dimensions?

Can’t speak to the 5/8, but I ran the 1/2 wave version at 16’ and it worked great for both local and DX.

Ed, do you use an amp or just run your 5555N2 on high power?

Don’t currently have one, Rodney. It’s in a cabinet at the local truck stop. :p I do have the KL203. Am using it with my Royce 619. The Anytone is somewhat higher but worth it I’m sure. I’m just the world’s worst about making a decision and pulling the trigger.:ROFLMAO:
