Well I went back to the dealer who installed my antenna and they put their analyzer to it and yes indeed it's the antenna not my meter that is bad so now I got to deal with returning my antenna coil to Larson hopefully it'll be covered under warranty could have it ran into anything or haven't...

Can anyone recommend a place to get this calibrated especially the SWR meter or can anybody tell me how to calibrate it maybe by using a dummy load and then calibrate it myself. Thanks

I had a larsen antenna mounted on my 76 jeep Cherokee and I did great on skip talk to Australia Florida Texas Alaska Hawaii with no amp I thought it did quite well on skip/dx

On a run of 17'-20' would there be any significant difference between the two running without a amp. Is it worth the little extra $$ for RG8x. This is for 11meter or 2/70cm frequency.
