Yes sir, It has static, just not near the static that the other radios have here on the base. and the needle seems to be really stiff to move, it will move up and slam back very fast, i also put a new meter in the radios.

I have a couple Galaxy radios here the rx fine, but there seems to be no static in the receive as all the others. Is this a common problem? I have to turn the volume almost all the way up to hear the static, but i receive other stations fine. Is there a simple fix for this? maybe a part that...

I got it pretty well straightened out, i still get some noise on low power with 1w dk, but on high power it clears right up, only with echo board on it does that. so i guess thats just part of the game i guess. Now this ground wire, where would YOU suggest running it from and to? from where on...

Ok i put back the orginal mod limiters, However i could not get any swing. So i took out tr53, that took care of the audio problem. I also disabled the talkback. The problem im having now is feedback. with a stock mic i cant turn the mic gain over about 8 oclock without feedback so bad i cant...

well i got it up and running now, it has the same audio level on both hi and low power. But it still sounds trashy, Static in the voice. I have changed tr51 and the am mod amp tr50, replaces the final as well. I also cant seem to use the mic gain, If i use a d-104 i have to turn the radio mic...

ok got the power issue straight. But the audio is really scratchy, the audio sounds like its coming through a blown speaker, with that static scratchy sound, what do i need to replace to clear it up, it has one mod limiter clipped, there are 2 that can be clipped in the 33+ r 249 and r 246...

i replaced the echo board, it took care if the problem on low power, its louder now on low power than before, however still cut by 75% on hi power.

Power supply part on the front not working. I can read 15v on the meter for a split sec, then 0, if i move the test leads some i can get another quick reading and thats it. If i hook a radio to it, i have to cut the whole supply off and then the radio will cut on for a split sec, thats it...

well, the man says that it will not tx on lsb above 9.5, but clipping that mod (d-5) and reseting the cpu should have done the trick. But it did not, and there is nothing in the man about making it tx on lsb above 9.5. I'm lost with it, I'm hoping that there is someone out here who can help me...

i should also add that when u talk in the radio, the peak hangs for a sec before it drops back there is also some kind of copper coil added in front of the final, i don't know what was there, if somebody had a good close up of the final area would help
