Ladder line can not be near or touching anything. Should be suspended in free space. Stick with coax, it will be much better in your case.

Excellent radio!. One of my favorites. I have one that is new in the box. Pretty easy to modify. One problem is that the receive is so sensitive that they get front end overload pretty easily. GREAT BUY!

As said earlier, forget all that stuff and buy the length of coax that will connect your radio to your antenna. You will never see a difference, especially at 11 meters.KISS PR

As has been stated earlier, don't waste too much cash on the radio, other than making sure it is tuned correctly. In order to make a noticable difference in signal at the receiving end, you must DOUBLE your power output, so 1 or 2 watts won't do anything. Spend the time and money where it is...
