6ME6's aren't the right tubes for that amp. 6LQ6's minimum. Bet you wouldn't be having problems if you were running [NOS] 6KV6A's for drivers & 6MJ6's for finals...... Just my .02 after taxes. SR

It had to have been a bidding war. Even if the amp was NOS - NIB w/ 100%+ tubes & 9 extra NIB spare tubes, I wouldn't think it would sell for more than $500-$600. :confused: I would be having bidder's remorse right about now, had I bid $500 but can't even imagine the feeling after bidding...

Depending on how friendly you are w/ your neighbor, you could always ask them to call ADT & tell them you're going to do a test. Send out a full power signal & ask via telephone if their alarm triggers. Just a thought.... FWIW - I had just put a 1.5Kw amp in my mobile & while driving through...

I can't see or hear the video (my pewter too old & slowwww!), but maybe the "buzz / hum" is just harmonics under a heavy load? I bought a brand new 25 amp p/s to run a TS-350HD, & once in a while under a heavy load, the transformer would sound like it was shorting out! (It was really loud!)...
