Thank You Good info here. Thank you all! I do NOT have any type of ground. The dirt is so far away I would have to run over 100 feet of wire. Is there a way to trick the system into thinking there is a ground? As you can tell. I am a newbie. :blink:

Someone told me you that it is possible to connect two Astron 70's together for running an amp that will draw 110 amps. Can anyone confirm that? And do I need any special connectors? I already have one and thought it may be the way to go. Thanks Gage

dead key vs swing Is that dead keys watts? What if your radio swings way over 20, will that be over driving it? Or will I be OK as long as my radio does not dead key over 20? Thanks

I'm new and need to ask a dumb question. Why is it so important to tune a radio with the AMP being used? If you're sure that you are not over driving it, what is the harm that can be done, or the benefit when trying different AMP's that have not been tuned to the radio. I'm using a RCI 2970dx...

What do think the dead key should be set at with a RCI 2970dx and the Texas Star 1600? I can run it on low at 10 watts dead key, or high at about 30. It swings to about 150 at either setting? Thanks, Gage
