any one ever make this before? He is not listing 40 meters and 40 is 33 feet at 7.1mhz At 1/4 wave so i would think this woukd work fine there.....

Nothing special about that at all. Since it requires an antenna tuner he could have picked any length at all. I just don't understand the claims people make about an all band antenna or multi band antenna with low SWR across all the bands and then you find out he is using a tuner. If the tuner is worth anything at all it should be able to make a wet noodle radiate.

Homebrew 25 foot alu antenna with 1:4 unun on the FT 240 - 43 with Teflon isolated wire.
Lowers the swr considerably , running it from 40 - 10 meters and had 8000 watts in it for testing.
Wil replace the Imax 2000 on the roof that is deaf on 20/40 and marghinal on 17.
Feeding that one without 1:4 unun brings a lot of losses in the feeder system or you should feed it with open line, and tuner.

Ok i was Also going to ask if a1:4 unun would help looks like it will..

i am going camping june 20th to 24th and i am bringing some gear... so i was just thinking if this would be a viable setup... it is this or maybe a g5rv jr

An old fishing rod, some wire in it, some radials to put on the grass and easy set up, but verticals are good for DX.
The horizontal antenna needs a few points to attach it on and depending on what you want hang it higher for DX or lower for NVIS.
Or take both with you and switch over ;)
