Last year at Dayton (Hamvention), I purchase the above unit and has been working great. I use a Motorola HT for work operating on frequencies 455-469 and some 511mc. (tv station freqs). Although the Alinco radio will receive on those frequencies, the transmit is disabled. Are there any mods to enable the transmit? I see a blue jumper on the side facing the battery when you take off the square plate behind the battery. I tried removing it but that didn't enable it. Any ideas? I'de like to use the Alinco at work too and not the heavy Motorola.
