Anybody here have any experience with the Ameritron line? I've got a few questions.
With the 10m mod will one get full output from the AL-80 or other models? Does the full output vary from one band to the next? Or is this done by properly adjusting the plate and load for the frequency where you intend to operate.
I've read several items that go from "the amp will not work on 11m" to "maximum output of 200w on 10m with tube overheating if you try to get full 1k output". <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> I know these amps are being used on 11m by many operators.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> If the 10m mod is done to said amp is any other "tweaking" needed to get full output on 11m? I have been looking at this line of amp with the intention of having an amp that will be flexable for my intended use now (11m<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT="
