I've looked around and I think what I what to do will not work but I need someone else to help me figure this out or agree with me that it can't be done.

I have a friend who has an old 148/side mic/5 pin.
He wants me to wire up a CA73 cobra microphone with a five pin to be a spare mic for his 148.
The wires in the mic cord are shield, red. wht and blue. No black!

Can this be done?
If so please tell me how.
I tried to put in a jumper from pin 2 to pin 4 and that didn't work.

What else will make it work?

Thats for a four pin radio.

I want it for a five pin radio.

I think the element is bad on this mic. I'm going to wire it four pin and try it out, That might be why it didn't work like it should have when I wired it for the five pin the first time.

1 Audio (White) 2 Shield (Braid) 3 RX (Blue) 4 common (unused) TX (RED)

TAKE NOTE the CA70 and CA72 wire colors are different
TX (White) Audio (Red) RX (Blue) Shield (Braid) Common/switch (Black)
