<More audio><can not stand it><can not stand it><can not stand it><can not stand it>
Just locate the if ic and look for the solder pad jumpers n carefully remove one at a time "normally the front one " and reset radio and try.
If it doesn't work ...simply reinstall part.
I never waited for mods to show up..yaesu methods doesn't change .
And of course this would be for emergency purposes only or simple general knowledge ."disclaimer".
If you open it up and mod it yourself, you void the warranty.
Unless you have a reason - why it should be modded, you are better off to just leave it in the factory configuration until the warranty period expires.
There is too much that is too new - that can go wrong in that radio to start messing with it already..
If they tell you how to do it, why would they not honor the warranty, over what they told you how to do?
I had a problem with an Alinco radio that was less than 6 weeks old and had the Mars Mod done to it.
Sent it in to be repaired under warranty ,bad crystal caused a out of lock condition.
Radio was fixed and returned to me with the Mars Mod Intact and No charge for the repair.
And I had the radio back in less than 7 days.
A picture would be helpful!
