magnum s980 175?

So i bought this magnum is this a joke or what is the deal here

I thought the s980 has 80 watts but then it has the heat sink and the seller is stating its a 175 watt radio so where do i get more info on this set up..

here is the service manual for the 1st version of this radio. will give you some info that will pertain to your radio. the one you have is the higher output version. not sure what info you are wanting.

That radio is no joke. So long as someone hasn't put their hands into it to modify a radio than requires nothing done to it to begin with, it should work very well for you. Fine as is.

Well thats my point..i have not seen one like this...so thats what got ne confused..

It looks as if someone put an sx-175 power cabinet on that s980. It would be totaly possible to do, lesters customs installs them on galaxy radios. Or maybe they just bolted the heat sink on to make it look good I would verify the output on a meter to be sure.

A S9-80 will use the SX-175 POWERCABINET ... to upgrade it to a S-175. I have one. I liked it so much I bought a S9-350. I am not sure what the issue is.

The S9-350 that I have with the factory original box .... Just reads S9 on the meter but the factory box says S9-350.
