Looks a lot like an Icom IC-718 with the front firing speaker.

I will have to wait and see if it is real. Can download manual, but nothing on Yaesu's sight.

No FM either from the description. Weird, it's really looks just about like an Icom 718. Maybe a bit slimmer but man if you glanced at it and didn't know you'd swear it was an Icom 718 LOL. If it's a real radio and its coming, wonder what price point will be?? Thx for the post Doctor!!

better be cheap, looks pretty basic compared to all the flashy color touch screen radios that are now coming out

Maybe going after the low entry level market, and since the IC-718 is long in the tooth. The Yaesu offers IF DSP rather than the Icom's AF DSP, which should be a big advantage.

Still don't see anything about it. I wonder if yaesu decided not to go through with it.

I bet they changed direction on this one to develop it into an SDR radio after Icom showed us the new 7300.

That IC7300 sure does look nice!! And has a lot of features for an entry level radio!! Wonder what the price will be on them???
